Get ready for a day of good fun! We are hosting our annual Duck Race and Family Fun Day on Sunday May 19 from 11am to 4pm at Bramhall Park. This exciting event promises a day filled with entertainment, activities, and of course, the thrilling duck races! Special thanks to our sponsors Leighton Snow Estate agents, The Vernon Building Society, Lynx Taxis and Sapphire Clear Cut Thinking

  • Starting at 11.00am, there will be a variety of small duck races to watch and there will be speciality races with local celebrities and businesses getting involved by decorating giant racing ducks that will then go beak to beak in the river.
  • Purchase duck tickets for £1 each and cheer your duck on as it races down the river to the finish line.
  • The winning duck’s owner will get £100.

The Family Fun Day offers something for everyone! Enjoy a variety of activities, including:

  • The funfair
  • Bouncy castles and games for the kids
  • Live music and entertainment
    • Walthew Steel Band will be in the Courtyard
    • Rock Choir on the Croquet Lawn
    • Local dance schools on the main Strawberry Radio stage and croquet lawn
  • Delicious food and beverages from local vendors
  • Face painting and crafts
  • Many artisan stalls

This event is a fantastic opportunity to spend quality time with family and friends while supporting a worthy cause. We encourage everyone to come out and enjoy a day of fun, laughter, and community spirit.  Entry to the event is still free but please buy a ticket for a duck in one of the small duck races for just £1 each.  They are available on the day, online here or from our sales points around Bramhall.  You could be a winner of £100! But you have to be in it to win it!!

Getting there:

Last year we had hundreds of families turn up on the day, many of whom used our popular DUCK BUS Park & Ride service. Again we will have THREE (yes, three!) free buses running throughout the day

To and from the park (big roundabout) to

  • Woodford Garden Village (outside The Aviator, and the bus stop just past the garden centre) via Bramhall (near Mathnasium and opposite Crown & Conspirator)
  • Hazel Grove High School
  • Church Road, Cheadle Hulme with parking available at the two local high schools (Cheadle Hulme High School and Cheadle Hulme School)

Look out for the yellow DUCK BUSSES.  Please use them if you can but, if you have to come in a vehicle, please park carefully and respectfully.

Main Charity

Our main charity is Stockport Without Abuse with lesser amounts for other Rotary supported causes. SWA is the largest domestic abuse organisation in Stockport. They offer a range of services to help and support women, men and children who are affected by domestic abuse. Everyone has the right to live their life free from fear, violence and abuse.
